Jallinwala Bagh

Jallinwala Bagh was the location of the leisurely afternoon in the sun. There was a park just off the Golden Temple where he British opened fire on unsuspecting park goers in 1919. On our Sunday in Jallinwala Bagh the sun was out, kids were flying kites and folks were promenading and relaxing and we looked past the bullet holes in the walls to enjoy the day. This was one place where I "felt" the staring of the locals; other groups on the lawn oriented themselves so that they could watch the five of us as we snapped pictures and caught them looking at us. By now I realize that just comes with the territory.
