The visit into the Golden Temple was very powerful. Before this trip I did not know much about the Sikh religion and I have a newfound respect for the customs and beliefs (one god, somewhere between Hindi and Muslim, strong work ethic and not afraid to fight). What I like the most about the religion is that the 10th Guru passed the spiritual baton to a book. And it is this book that is housed within the Golden Temple. Another interesting fact about Sikh's is that men take the last name Singh and all women take the last name Kaur.
The five of us walked around the perimeter and then waited for over an hour to enter the gold center chamber. Time flew by mostly because there was chanting broadcast from inside the temple and people around were singing along.
